A Jubilee for Justice

Jubilee Debt Campaign which was so active in calling for a jubilee in 2000 is trying to get more support for a new campaign on world debt.

By the end of 2012, 32 countries have received debt cancellation totalling $120 billion of debts. Despite all the harmful and undemocratic economic policy conditions attached to this debt relief, government spending has been able to make a real difference to the lives of millions of people across the developing world as a result.

The Jubilee Debt Campaign wouldlike clergy to sign their Jubilee for Justice Faith Leaders letter www.jubileedebtcampaign.org.uk/faithletterssignatories

They would also like faith leaders to encourage their congregations to sign a Jubilee for Justice petition in the form of a paper chain.
