The present phase of renovation work at St Michael and All Angels, particularly in the Savile Chapel, has now been completed with the installation of the spectacular new 'Resurrection Window' installed by the artist, Jonathan Cooke just a few days ago.

The church has played host to a variety of events this year around the subject of Angels including a special interfaith project with local schools and a touring exhibition of Celia Kilner’s life-sized angels.

Vicar, Revd Sue Clarke, said: “We’ve been busy, so now it is time to have a celebration, to give thanks for all the skills and talents involved in restoring the chapel and for the beautiful results we now see.

The Bishop of Wakefield will dedicate the new window and rededicate the chapel at a special service on Sunday 4 November at 3.00pm. All are welcome.
