Are you looking for funding?

The Diocese of Wakefield has taken out a subscription to GRANTnet, an interactive datatbase of thousands of possible funding sources, which will enable parishes and other local church related organisations to search a huge range of funding sources free of charge.

What is GRANTnet?

GRANTnet is a straightforward free to use service, which can help you to identify suitable funding for your activity or project.

The main features of this interactive database are:

  • Easy-to-use search tool which allows access to up-to-date information on over 4,000 grants and other incentives.
  • Rapid identification of funding sources specific to your need.
  • Data sourced from EC and UK Government sources, including Government departments, local authorities, charitable trusts and corporate sponsors.
  • Updated regularly.
  • Easy to access and use.
  • Searches relevant to your local area.

Who can access GRANTnet?

Anyone involved in your Parish or related Community Group can access GRANTnet, just follow the link at the bottom of the page.

How to access GRANTnet

When using the system for the first time:

  • Follow the link at the bottom of the page to get to the GRANTnet log in page.
  • Go to the 'New User' box on the GRANTnet ‘Log in’ screen. It will ask for details such as the user’s e-mail address (which will become the username), name, organisation, postal address and telephone number.
  • Clicking on the 'Sign up' button will generate an e-mail providing a password within minutes.
  • You are then free to search as often as you like, just keep a note of your username and password for each time you return.

Using GRANTnet

  • To search the database, the user will need to answer a few simple questions about the project or activity they wish to undertake and the type of funding required. There is a three-stage process and, at each step, there is a HELP screen to assist the user in completing the required information.
  • Once the information has been submitted, GRANTnet provides an overview of all funding schemes suitable for the project, as well as a 'Extra Reading' and 'GRANTnet Plus' information section
  • When you have completed a session in GRANTnet, details of the final search will be sent to Susan Parker, Development Officer at the Diocese of Wakefield, who will then contact you, should you wish, to discuss your search and how she can provide support in developing your project.

Who will have access to my personal details?

  • Your contact details and search information will be made available to the support staff in the Diocese of Wakefield.
  • They will not be made available to any third parties or used to target you with unsolicited emails or advertisements.

In order for us to assess the effectiveness of GRANTnet, and to decide whether we should continue with the subscription, it would be most helpful if you could inform Susan Parker if any of the applications you make have been successful.
