Responding to God’s calling.
www.wakefield.anglican.org/vocation
Vocation is a wide area, as it covers the calling of all Christians
to follow God’s particular calling for their lives, and to use
their gifts in his service. Much of this exploration will take place
at parish level, whether this is to do with vocations in the wider world,
or particular avenues of service in the church.

Fellowship of Vocation
This is a group which meets about every three weeks during school term.
It is open to anyone exploring a sense of vocation, and concentrates
on those areas promoted by the church (e.g. ordained ministry of various
kinds, Church Army, Reader Ministry, Bishop’s Certificate in Pastoral
Ministry, service with a missionary society).
The meetings provide some input in the area of exploring vocation, including
information on various forms of service and the opportunity to consider
questions of guidance etc. There is also time for worship and prayer,
and the opportunity for mutual support. There are books available for
loan.
