Third Order of the Society of Saint Francis

Third Order of the Society of Saint Francis
TSSF is a “Community” of men and women, some married, some single, living in their own homes and doing their own jobs. They encourage one another in living and witnessing to the Christian life and are closely linked to the Franciscan Brothers and Sister of the First and Second Orders.
They try to live out their Christian lives in “the spirit of St. Francis” and keep a Rule of Life tailored to their individual needs which contain the main elements of the Eucharist, Penitence, Self-denial, Retreat, Study & Reading, Simplicity, Work and Service and Spiritual Counsel.
The Wakefield diocese is part of the West Yorkshire and Skipton Area and one local group meets in the diocese. Anyone who is interested to discover more about the Third Order of St. Francis, please ring Jan Carlin on: 01132862710. More information is also available on the TSSF website.
